Since I began my journey, I have been weighing myself once a week. I don’t check my weight everyday because the scale can be kind of evil sometimes and go up and down and then if it goes up due to water weight it can be discouraging. I used to weigh myself in the morning and at night, and now I only do on Wednesday mornings. Sometimes I do check on Tuesday morning to see whether Wednesday will be a good weigh in day or if I need to have a last chance workout as they used to say on the Biggest Loser. Haha.
Some of the successes I am having this time around are that I am choosing what I think are healthier smart carbs and powerfuels. The first round I was eating a lot of bread and dairy. This time around I am drinking more shakes and eating fresh fruit. I had a peach today that was so juicy and out of this world. I can’t remember the last time I had a peach. I need to get more of those.
I have lost 9 pounds so far since I started my journey on July 5th, and I would love to say my clothes are fitting better, but maybe I will feel a little better next week. I am so bloated today because my “lady time” is any day now, and I just feel blah! I am craving chocolate like crazy!! Thank god with Nutrisystem having chocolate is not a problem. I could have chocolate for breakfast, lunch and dessert on Nutrisystem and still lose weight and have Nutrisystem Chocolate shakes! Nutrisystem really is a girl best friend during this time.
I put on Thomas and Friends to distract the kids while I eat this, otherwise they will steal my yummy Nutrisystem Ice Cream Sandwich! #dessert. #Nutrisystemsnaps #nutrisystem #ad #nsnation #twoboysandahubby @nutrisystem

I did measure myself before I started, and I do plan on sharing those measurements around week 8 as a kind of before and after. As for weight-loss goals, I would like to get to 125-135.
My biggest inspiration since around 2005 has been Jillian Michaels. She is a huge role model for me, and my dream is to be a personal trainer someday, but being 87 pounds over weight and 5’1″ it is not getting me any closer to my dreams. I am in my mid 30s, and it’s time to just see the numbers go down. Lately as I lose I have been saying good-bye in my head to that number because I don’t want to see it again. Another thing is if I see something that is so good I just think to myself that I am on this journey, and food has been around for a long time, and it will be there a year from now when I have lost all the weight and if I still want some, then I will think about it.
Until next week!
